Flabelus is a magical world full of characters in the shape of shoes. All the shoes are named after literary characters. The idea behind this project is revolutionary. In July 2020 the first Flabelus are born, transforming the classic Spanish espadrilles into year-round shoes. Each Flabelus is carefully sewn in Spain and lovingly constructed by our expert craftsmen in the centuries-old certified espadrille technique. We change the materials and design but keep the structure and construction of the espadrille. They are no longer espadrilles, but something else: they are Flabelus.
Flabelus combines the best of two worlds: the impeccable design of timeless footwear and the strength, comfort and quality of centuries-old Spanish techniques: those used to make espadrilles.
